About Us
Community service is a value that Kurt and Karen share. They have contributed their time in many ways since High School. Kurt has been a volunteer firefighter since the age of 15. He ran with the Penryn fire company for 10 years, and then with the Manheim company for another 10 years. He dedicated 9 years to the Manheim Central School District as their HVAC technician, until he left to start his own company. He is also active with Midget Football and the Boy Scouts.
Karen started her volunteer work at the age of 14 as a patient aide at Lancaster General Hospital. She then went on to become a licensed EMT, running as a volunteer with Hempfield Community Ambulance. To help stay involved with her children, she’s spent 2 years as a Brownie leader, currently volunteers with her children’s schools PTO activities, and continues to be a classroom aide. Kurt and Karen see this service as their contribution to building a strong community in their Manheim/Lititz neighborhoods.
They started their Mountain View Heating and Cooling business with similar culture, in that they treat their customers as if they were friends and family members. Strong personal service with reasonable rates and NO hidden costs are their key business values. Kurt brings 20 years of industry experience and knowledge to his heating & cooling business. Kurt decided to open his own business in 2004 because he wanted to provide more for consumers. Kurt says the best part of his business is meeting and getting to know his customers on a personal basis. He takes the time to educate his customers on their current home condition and the various comfort solutions available. He helps folks understand all the options that are available to them to help them make the best decisions for their families comfort.
